This is something I have been acutely aware of during my first twelve (12) months as CEO of State Trustees.
Shortly after my appointment, I shared that I intended to build on the solid foundation that had been set down over the preceding two years and that we would continue to transform our organisation to ensure it is one that our clients and employees are proud to be associated with.
Over the past 12 months we completed our transformation program, which consisted of more than sixty projects and importantly, continued our client centric journey of excellence.
Whilst I and all those involved in the transformation program ought to be very proud of the significant achievements, after all, what we embarked upon was arguably the most aggressive and courageous transformation plan our sector had ever witnessed; working simultaneously on processes, technology, and people.
We completed our regionalisation strategy with our head office relocating from the Melbourne CBD to a brand new, custom-built, 5 Star, Green Star building in the inner suburb of Footscray. Footscray along with Dandenong and Bendigo collectively provide an improved working environment for our people and assists in providing a better client experience.
We have launched new products; Will, Enduring Power of Attorney & Statutory Declaration Kits, online Enduring Power of Attorney documents and enhanced online Wills to complement our product offering to Victorian’s. We have launched a business partnership model with a number of organisations for the mutual benefit of our clients and we have aligned our plan of management and quality assurance with the Australian Guardianship and Administration Council Standards.
Overall, it has been an exciting, challenging, but most importantly, extremely rewarding time, to see the dedication and belief that our people have in the service they provide to so many Victorians is astounding.
Our program of continuous improvement is only going from strength to strength, the passion our people have for our clients and our purpose is profound, the desire to continuously improve the client experience will enable the drive to ensure that we have a positive and constructive workplace culture which enables State Trustees to be the employer of choice in the Victorian public sector.
